Internship // The Biz
For the last while, I've had such a heart for teaching. Weddings, portraits, giving back and storytelling are things that I believe in so strongly and I'm always wanting to introduce others to my love for these things.
I am so excited to announce that I will be taking on an INTERN for the months of May and June (and potentially beyond those months).
This individual will come along to all shoots, weddings and meetings I have with clients, couples and potential clients but also be with me at my home office for 1-2 days a week in addition to having assignments at home.
If I were honest, I can maintain things on my own. So that being said, this internship isn't about me. It's about you.
I'll be here to answer any questions you may have and teach you what I know-from how I work with couples, how I balance work/life, how I organize thousands of images, to how I pay my taxes (just kidding…I don't know how to do that. I let someone else to do it).
So that being said, this is a shooting internship but even more of a non-shooting and mentoring time for us together.
Being a photographer and running a business is so much more than simply taking photos; it's about loving your clients well, your people well, sitting in front of the computer a lot, and figuring things out along the way.
I'm looking for a (flexible) 10hr/week (+weddings on weekends) commitment with interested individuals having:
*An interest in wedding photography
*A basic knowledge of photography and editing skills
*Their own gear, equipment and computer
*A willingness to learn
Please email email@example.com with the subject line INTERN by April 22 at midnight. Include a resume, a link to a current portfolio/website and answers to the following questions:
-Why are you interested in this internship?
-What do you hope to gain from this internship?
-What is something you've fought for over the last 5 years?
I can't wait!
