How can I even start talking about Liz and Aaron? In the past few months, the three of us have been able to spend time together (that kind of time and relationship, I believe, something that is rare and often overlooked) which I have loved. I've known Liz since high school and have been able to spend a lot of time with her recently after she moved back to the states from being in Australia for three years. Liz and Aaron met at school in Aussie and after persistent requests, Liz finally accepted Aaron's request for a date. A move back to Charleston together and seven months of dating later, Aaron proposed in the most romantic, thoughtful way (including personally written songs played on the piano, candles and flowers)! Of course, I insisted on photographing them and we headed out to a friend's property on John's Island. All of this was so wonderful and beyond what I could have manifested myself. I'm telling ya, I barely did anything to make these pictures happen-it was all Liz and Aaron. All of you newly engaged couples (engagement season is officially upon us) take note!
Aaron did this completely unprompted. I love the look on Liz's face as she looks back at me. Oh, and the fact that all of this happened while riding bikes (?!)
I told Liz and Aaron I wanted to get some individual shots and this below was my test shot. What?!
All of this below...completely real and unposed!
I love the way Aaron looks at Liz
Right after I said "well I think we're done!"
