Michelle+RJ // Married // Charleston
I truly won't ever forget these two or their wedding.
Hell, I'm expecting us to get drinks with them the next time they're in Charleston (they became good friends with their waiter on their last trip out here, so I think I'm in).
Two days before Michelle and RJ wed, we drank wine and discussed the grim wedding day forecast of 90% rain. Fast forward two days-the sky was overcast and Michelle was ready with flowers in hand to go see her man, perfectly styled in a short BHLDN gown and fur shawl. The three of us hopped around Charleston, the streets eerily empty due to the weather, stopping at all my favorite walls, corners and spots. They gave me almost 2 hours for portraits (#dreamteam)! With just under an hour until the ceremony, RJ suggested we grab drinks and nobody objected.
45 minutes later, we strolled down the street with Michelle's parents, RJ's mom and the officiant in tow looking for the perfect spot to make this thing official!
A small little nook by a beautiful church was the winner with tiny alleyways, horse-drawn carriages and tourists surrounding us.
Vows and rings were exchanged and tears flowed before Michelle and RJ were swept away by a horse-drawn carriage.
Oh and, it started raining 20 minutes after their carriage drove down the street. Thank you, God.
Thank you, Michelle and RJ for letting me be a part of your spontaneous, raw and joyful beginning. This is the start of something great.
